Il Diario di un Fante della Grande Guerra Questo blog � nato da una scommessa di fine estate. Alla fine dell' agosto 2003 mia moglie ed io giravamo per i campi di battaglia della Grande Guerra. Passando per quei luoghi, a Francesca erano tornati in mente alcuni sbiaditi ricordi d'infanzia, quando la nonna le raccontava di un suo fratello morto in guerra a 23 anni, forse vicino Gorizia. Conclusa la guerra, la famiglia Suma aveva ricevuto dal Ministero una pergamena a ricordo del proprio congiunto: fine della storia. Non se ne era saputo pi� nulla e peraltro anche la nonna non c'era pi� da diversi anni. Nella nostra storia, dunque, l�unica traccia era un nome: Concetto Suma. Perch� non provare a cercarlo?

SOTA : The Society of Typographic Aficionados Type and graphic designers and other artists are invited to contribute artwork which will become part of a typeface created exclusively for the Font Aid III effort. Dutch designer Max Kisman, contributor to past Building Letters and SOTA projects, developed the font�s concept�a collection of fleurons (also known as flowers or printers� flowers). Much like the poppy, which has become a symbol for honoring the dead and assisting the living victims of war, Font Aid�s typographic flowers will serve as a symbol of remembrance and hope; a respectful tribute to those who have lost their lives; a helping hand extended to the survivors; and a reminder of the awesome power of nature.
